Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter hovering over a well-attended southern California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, eventually dropping height and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Videos posted online capture the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then falling in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders stated five people were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three people on the road were injured. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
