Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm intending to announce all specifics in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Earlier reports had indicated the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

By December 2024, Paramount employed almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not yet commented on the matter.
